Integrative Medicine Education
The Forefront of Integrative Medicine Education
At the UCLA Health Integrative Medicine Collaborative (IMC), we develop education programs for medical students, fellows, residents and other medical professionals. IMC physicians provide training and instruction through organized events, conferences, symposiums and continuing medical education conferences. We educate future leaders and seasoned medical professionals about the benefits of whole-person health care.
Our course offerings examine this approach to wellness and offer best practices in delivering integrative care.

Integrative Medicine Curriculum
Our longitudinal integrative medicine curriculum at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA spans four years, offering students a deep and continuous understanding of whole-person care. This extensive program emphasizes non-pharmacologic approaches to pain, integrative approaches for chronic disease management and nutritional counseling. By examining how integrative medicine enhances care for various medical conditions, students gain a multifaceted perspective on patient care.
The curriculum fosters clinical immersion across the Integrative Medicine Collaborative (IMC) programs, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and gain firsthand experience in integrative health practices. Additionally, it provides numerous opportunities for scholarly projects in integrative health, encouraging students to engage in innovative research and contribute to the advancement of the field.
We continuously update our curriculum to incorporate the latest findings and breakthroughs in integrative care to ensure that our students receive the most current and comprehensive education.
Campus Presentations
Our physicians present information about integrative medicine to undergraduate students at UCLA who are interested in pursuing a career in this field.
