Community Outreach

CORE Kidney offers multiple outreach events to help provide meaningful and helpful experiences for the community. Feel free to learn more about our past events and future events we are excited to offer!

Monthly Chats

Our monthly chats are a free comprehensive educational webinar for patients with kidney disease. Monthly Chats are recurring events that happen on the first of every month at the same time each month, presented by the UCLA Health CORE Kidney Team. A wide variety of topics related to kidney disease and high blood pressure, including but not limited to prevention, diagnosis, management, dialysis, transplantation, and kidney-healthy lifestyle choices, are discussed. These are interactive sessions with an opportunity to ask questions during the event or prior via email ([email protected]). On top of field experts, the Circle of CORE patient advocates and support group will also be present! Monthly Chats are free, virtual, and open to the public! We hope to see you at our next one! Kidney Health Fair at Pico Union

March 7, 2026

On March 7, 2026, we held a community kidney health awareness and outreach event at Pico Union. The event had a great turnout, and we were able to share important information about kidney health. There was also music, activities, vendors, dancing, and a live mural painting. Thank you to David Velasquez "Big Sleeps" and to the Graff Lab!

Special Presentation with Dr. Anna Gaddy

January 15, 2026

CORE Kidney was excited to host a special Zoom talk with Dr. Anna Gaddy! Dr. Gaddy is a nephrologist at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is also a kidney donor, bringing a powerful and personal perspective on the patient journey. The talk was an incredible opportunity to learn, ask questions, and build meaningful connections. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Gaddy for joining us.
