Our Community Programs and Partnerships
We partner with community members, schools and organizations to offer programs and services open to all people in our community. We work together toward a shared objective of enhancing community health and wellness.
UCLA Health People-Animal Connection (PAC)
Through this animal-assisted therapy program, we offer companionship and comfort to critically ill children and adults. Dedicated PAC volunteers bring specially trained dogs to visit with patients and families at UCLA Health hospitals and community events. These visits enhance physical and emotional healing by providing a positive bonding opportunity between canines and patients of all ages, cultures and socioeconomic levels.
PAC dogs meet strict eligibility criteria and complete a nationally standardized behavioral exam and extensive training before engaging in bedside visits. Since the program’s inception in 1994, PAC teams have recorded more than 250,000 inpatient visits, as well as hundreds of thousands of unrecorded visits with community members. For more, visit UCLA Health People-Animal Connection (PAC).

UCLA Health Yoga Therapy
UCLA Health offers virtual yoga therapy classes at no cost to the community. Yoga therapy helps you reconnect with your inherent state of balance and well-being. The practice takes a whole-person, breath-centered approach.
We use gentle postures, breathing techniques, positive imagery and meditation to balance your mind, body and spirit. You can practice from your home, office or outdoors — no mat needed. View yoga videos at UCLA Health Yoga Therapy.
