Genevieve helped me through a very hard time with my first baby. Baby had trouble eating and I was lost. She was amazing. She was patient. She taught me so many things and I am very grateful for her wisdom. She went out of her way to care for me and my baby. I cannot thank her enough for all her support. Genevieve is truly exceptional and so unbelievably smart. UCLA is very very lucky to have you.

Dr. Sparks is truly exceptional in so many ways. She helped me through my first pregnancy and I am so grateful for her care. She made sure I was always well taken care of and went out of her way to give me and my baby amazing care. I could not have asked for a better doctor and I am forever grateful to her. What is most remarkable about Dr. Sparks is her ability to make you feel calm. Thank you for all you do.

Tzivia W.
Tzivia provided excellent care during my labor and delivery process, especially at the time of a pandemic when women are delivering and recovering without much family support. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, explained everything in detail, and even stayed with me longer than expected as I transitioned to PP care. She took care of my baby to allow me a chance to eat as I wasn't allowed to have family members on the PP floor. During hard times, one recognizes and appreciates the small gestures of kindness. Thank you Tzivia for your kindness, generosity, and excellent patient care. You made this difficult experience much more pleasant than I would have ever imagined! Thanks for what you do for many women going through the same experience.

Dr. Rao provided excellent care during my antepartum, labor and delivery, and PP process, especially at the time of a pandemic when women are delivering and recovering without much family support. She went above and beyond to explain all new policies and procedures as they were being implemented, explained everything in detail, and answered all my questions. During hard times, one recognizes and appreciates the small gestures of kindness. Thank you Dr. Rao for your kindness, generosity, and excellent patient care. You made this difficult experience much more pleasant than I would have ever imagined! Thanks for what you do for many women going through the same experience during this unprecedented times.

I have been extremely satisfied with my care from Dr. Oberman. She is extremely knowledgeable about fibroids and always takes my concerns about how my symptoms affect not only my health but my quality of life seriously. For example, she takes the time to discuss what's important to me when planning the course of action for my care, whether it's mitigating my symptoms, preserving my fertility, or planning my surgeries around my work or vacation schedules.
I was terrified before my sonohysterography but Dr. Oberman and Dr. Valentina Rodriguez were extremely kind and patient and made the procedure very tolerable.
I remember that after my first surgery with her on a Friday in 2018 she called me that weekend and when I didn't pick up, she called again because she wanted to make sure to hear my voice because she knew that I was recovering alone all weekend.
Before my most recent surgery in February 2020, I appreciated her balance of tempering my expectations as well providing hopefulness and optimism. After my surgery I messaged her with some questions and she called the same day and when I missed the call, she immediately followed up with an email.
Surgery is never fun, but it can definitely be less scary when you know that you're in such competent hands.

Erin C.
Thank you Erin for debriefing with me after a Rapid Response/code situation we were in together. Your kind and understanding approach in explaining to me allowed me to grow, learn, and become a empowered practitioner from this experience. I particularly appreciated that there were no pointing fingers/blame, but an understanding on both ends what we could do differently next time. You are very intelligent and calm under pressure. I always feel supported when you are in an emergent situation like that with me. I admire and appreciate you!

Unfortunately my daughter had to have surgery during this pandemic. I was so impressed with the nursing staff and the doctors. We were handled safely, with compassion, and efficiently. Dr Aria Fallah is an amazing surgeon. Even when I had a question, he emailed me directly to put me at ease. The ICU nurses Dani and Cori, the 5East nurses Vanessa and Whitney, and the PACU nurse Jing were amazing. Caring, responsive, informative, helpful, and smart! I couldn't have asked for more for my daughter. Thank you UCLA. Best in the west!

All the doctors and nurses and technicians in the ICU A.
My brother Samir was receiving medical care at the ICU from Dec 2019 to Jan 2020. I have never seen such professional yet dedicated care by the doctors and specially the nurses. Despite all the care my brother expired due to multi organ failure, on the 24th of January 2020. The empathy and attention given by the nurses and doctors are exemplary. I came from India twice, and while I was away, the doctors and nurses were always in touch with me over the phone updating me about his condition.. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My heartful thanks and gratitude to all the staff. I cremated his body in Los Angeles and carried back his ashes to India to perform the last rites in the Holy Ganges River. I miss my brother terribly.

Yesterday, Friday 2/21/2020, was the 6th surgery I've had in my life and Dr. Mike Sliff was by far the best anesthesiologist I've ever had in terms of bedside manner (although, I'm sure they were all great in terms of actual medicine since I woke up and am very much alive). All my procedures have been minor outpatient ones and because I meet with my surgeons at least a couple of times before the actual surgery, I never really feel nervous about that part. Anesthesia is usually what makes me nervous and because you don't meet the anesthesiologist until the day of, there's usually not much of a chance to feel as comfortable as you'd like before signing the paperwork.
However, I felt that Dr. Sliff took extra attention to discuss my previous history with anesthesia and described all the options to help avoid nausea and vomiting. He was next to the bed at eye level to explain it all and took extra time to go over all the different medicines he might give me. He seemed confident, although not arrogant, which is definitely a quality you want in your anesthesiologist. My friend who was with me yesterday morning texted me after my surgery to check on me and also commented on his exceptional bedside manner.
