The UCLA Health CORE Kidney Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Program was established in 2010 as a comprehensive program focusing on integrative health and working with other specialties to provide the best care we can to our patients. PKD program offers true comprehensive, integrated care where all aspects of ADPKD and kidney disease are addressed by a team with special interest in ADPKD. 13 years on, and we have one of the most extensive programs globally with patients from all walks and corners of the world. We work very closely with other sub-specialties to ensure true coordination of care. Below are some specialties that participate in our PKD program:

A dedicated team with appointments offered in a very reasonable time - both in-person and telemedicine.

Sub-specialties offered - genetics, hepatology, radiology, cardiology, neurosurgery, transplant, dialysis, reproductive endocrinology, pain management, pediatrics, and psychiatry.

Supportive services - support groups, dietitians, psychologists, and kidney educators.

All specialties available, if needed, like oncology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, dermatology, pulmonology and infectious diseases.

Two dedicated hospitals - Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Hospital.

One of the country's top transplant programs focusing on pre-emptive transplant, paired exchange, and voucher programs.

One of the top research institutions across basic science, translational, and clinical research with collaboration among different specialties.

Multiple programs offer free education across different platforms.

Our program is committed to ongoing research and clinical studies, including basic science, applied clinical science, outcomes, and evidence-based research in the mission to develop new treatments and cures for polycystic kidney disease. It provides the highest quality of patient care, performs cutting-edge research, and educating patients and healthcare professionals about the latest advances.
