The Magnet® Journey at Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital

Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA Earns 2nd Magnet®  Designation for Nursing Excellence

The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA has earned two consecutive Magnet® designations, the nation’s highest honor for excellence in nursing, with the first in 2019 and the second in 2024.

The hospital is one of the first psychiatric facilities to receive the prestigious designation, which is awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Only 9.6% of all U.S. hospitals have achieved Magnet® recognition.

The Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, a 74-bed acute psychiatric hospital, is a key part of UCLA Health and the major psychiatry teaching facility of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
