General Information

The UCLA Pediatric Electrophysiology Service specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders in infants, children, adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease. We are a part of the nationally ranked UCLA Children’s Heart Center, working closely with the UCLA congenital heart program to deliver comprehensive-family centered care.

Our specialized team consists of:

  • Four primary electrophysiologist physicians, Jeremy Moore, Claire Newlon, Kevin Shannon, Jonathan Su
  • Experienced support staff, led by Robynn Goldstein, NP

The group has performed thousands of invasive electrophysiological procedures and employs state-of-the-art approaches and technologies to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young adults with abnormal heart rhythms. Several novel techniques were pioneered at UCLA with Drs. Moore and Shannon.

Cardiogenetics and Inherited Arrhythmias

The Cardio-Genetics service offers comprehensive evaluation for children, adolescents, and young adults with inherited forms of arrhythmias.

The cardio-genetics team includes a special group of cardiologists, cardio-genetic counselors, and support staff who specialize in identifying inherited arrhythmias, comprehensive genetic testing services, cascade testing for family members at risk, and individualized treatment decisions for affected patients.
