Research
The UCLA Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to basic, translational and clinical research in its quest to develop new treatments and cures for a wide array of women's health conditions. Our department has ongoing research in the areas of high-risk pregnancies, postpartum depression, polycystic ovarian syndrome, elucidation of the genetic basis of congenital birth defects, cutting-edge work in advancing cures for ovarian, cervical and endometrial cancers, global health and a robust clinical trials program.
Education
One of the core pillars of the UCLA OBGYN’s mission is to train the next generation of providers and researchers devoted to improving women’s health. We provide excellent training for our medical students, residents and fellows through a mixture of clinical experience, didactic material, research and investigative pursuits. We focus on providing a thorough education that provides the training of a well-rounded, academic obstetrician-gynecologist — one who excels in the medical, surgical and research aspects of our specialty.
For Patients
Our healthcare providers specialize in the full spectrum of women’s health from general gynecologic care and routine prenatal care and labor and delivery to high-risk pregnancies and treatments for gynecologic cancer and other complex gynecological conditions.
COVID-19 Vaccine Info
A vaccine is the most promising strategy for combating COVID-19 for the general population, including pregnant people. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) recommend that all pregnant individuals be vaccinated against COVID-19.
