Inpatient consult service
- Consults on complex co-morbid diseases such as vasculitis and transplant patients
- Two months during first year fellowship
- 1-2 months during second year of fellowship
- Clinical duties: Friday continuity clinic
- Call: Every other weekend (cover VA)
UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center
- 266 bed teaching community hospital
- Mix of "bread and butter" rheumatology and complex cases
- Mixed outpatient/inpatient consult service
- AM Clinic Monday-Thursday at Santa Monica, Friday continuity clinic
- On call covering Santa Monica every other weekend
VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System
- Tertiary referral center
- 262 bed facility
VA population has a unique group of patients, predominantly male, enriched with spondyloarthropathies, microcrystalline arthropathies, and vasculitis. It also has a complete HMO-like structure with all services including pharmacy and rehabilitation and consultations provided on site at no or low cost.
- Mix of outpatient/inpatient consult service
- Clinic AM Monday and Thursday, Friday continuity clinic
Call 2/4 weekends per month; also cover Ronald Reagan on call
Harbor UCLA
- Los Angeles County hospital that serves an indigent population with a high prevalence of infectious rheumatic diseases and autoimmune diseases that strike individuals of minority groups and low socioeconomic groups, often with devastating outcomes
- Clinic AM Monday, Thursday, PM Tuesday. Friday continuity clinic.

- West Los Angeles VA Clinic
