UCLA Rheumatology is proud to be consistently ranked among the nation’s Top 10 by U.S. News & World Report.

Our expert rheumatologists offer comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for the full spectrum of rheumatic diseases, from common conditions to the most complex. We care for patients with general rheumatologic concerns as well as arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, myositis, gout, and osteoarthritis.

Clinical Programs & Conditions

The UCLA Division of Rheumatology combines active clinical care with leading research. Our major research areas include systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, interstitial lung disease, gout, vasculitis, and Sjögren's syndrome.

Fellowship

The UCLA Rheumatology Training Program is among the largest in the United States. Our fellows work closely with top clinicians and researchers to manage common and complex rheumatic diseases while contributing to innovative therapies that advance patient care. The program is an integral part of the largest healthcare system in Southern California.

Research

The UCLA Division of Rheumatology conducts leading biomedical and health research through both interventional and observational studies. Our clinical research is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), pharmaceutical companies, and nonprofit medical organizations.

We are currently participating in more than 20 clinical trials exploring cutting-edge therapies for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, myositis, and psoriatic arthritis.
