Integrating WASH: An Essential Strategy for Effective Harm Reduction  - Insights from US-Mexico Border Research

Drawing on US-Mexico border research,this talk will argue that water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services are a critical, yet often overlooked, component of harm reduction, essential for improving the health, dignity, and quality of life for people who use drugs. It will highlight how poor WASH access leads to severe health risks and social exclusion, and will emphasize the need for further research and funding in this vital multidisciplinary area.
