Interview Day
General Information
We interview for the Categorical IM program on Mondays and Fridays beginning in late October and running through December. For applicants to the primary care track, interview dates are on Tuesdays in November and December. For applicants to the UCLA Med-Peds Program, interview dates are on Wednesdays. PSTP applicants will interview on two separate half days: they will have one half day in conjunction with the Categorical IM program and an additional half day with the PSTP program.
All interviews will be held virtually. In partnership with several of our peer programs, the UCLA Internal Medicine Residency Program will not be offering in-person second looks for the 2026–2027 application season. We hope this decision helps to ease financial and logistical burdens for applicants during the recruitment process and look forward to meeting you on your virtual interview day!
Interview Day Schedule
The interview day for the categorical program starts at 8:00 am and ends around 1:30 pm PST. The day consists of an introduction to UCLA IM, two interviews, a resident noon conference, and a chance to talk with residents and program leadership.

STAR-PSTP
PSTP candidates will interview on any available Categorical program interview date, and separately with the PSTP track. PSTP interviews will run from 1:00PM - 4:30PM PST.
