Research Training Opportunities

The UCLA NRSA T32 Primary Care Research Fellowship stresses development of primary or ambulatory medicine physicians into independent investigators in health services research or epidemiology.

The MSTAR program provides medical students short-term research training in aging and geriatrics with successful mentors in the field, with the goal of encouraging medical students to consider careers as physician scientists in aging research.

Provides aspiring physician-scientists formal, dedicated research training concurrent with clinical residency or fellowship for both MD-PhD graduates and for those wishing to obtain a PhD.

We are committed to fostering and developing an environment and curriculum that promotes and supports our scholars’ passion in their work and training in health services research.

We empower the next generation of leaders in geriatric research, education, and clinical innovation so that older Veterans can live the lives that matter to them.

This program is a collaboration between UCLA’s Department of Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, RAND Health, the Schaeffer Center for Health Economics at the University of Southern California, and the Veterans Administration Center of Excellence for the Study of Healthcare Provider Behavior.

The primary goal of the fellowship program is to train MDs, psychologists and other allied health professionals to become leading clinical researchers in high priority areas of mental health.
