The UCLA Division of Geriatrics is dedicated to meeting its three-component mission of education, research, and innovative clinical care, aimed at providing the highest quality care to older members of our community, particularly those who are frail.

Education

Faculty in the UCLA Division of Geriatrics collaborate with colleagues in multiple disciplines at UCLA, such as neurology, geriatric psychiatry, preventive medicine, nursing, dentistry, social welfare, public health, business administration, public policy, and neuropsychology to provide state-of-the-art education to all levels of students, residents, fellows, faculty and our community.  We work diligently to create an educational environment that will facilitate learning in a variety of settings and venues.

Research

Research conducted by our faculty focuses upon basic cellular and molecular biology of aging, age-related changes in physiology, the clinical epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of older persons, and innovations in the delivery of health services to older adults.

Clinical Care

UCLA geriatricians provide personalized expert care for older adults at every stage of health and level of independence. Our goal is to help each patient achieve their personal health goals and maintain the best possible quality of life. We are here to guide you with compassion, clarity, and respect.
