Programs
The UCLA Division of Geriatrics leads and participates in many programs to advance knowledge, improve clinical care and enhance the quality of life for older adults, from community engagement initiatives to landmark clinical trials.
Laboratories within the UCLA Division of Geriatrics conduct paradigm-shifting basic, translational, epidemiologic, clinical, health services and implementation research on a wide range of areas that are critical to the well-being of older adults, including menopause, cardiometabolic disorders, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, falls, frailty, sleep disorders, dementia and long-term care.

The Anna and Harry Borun Center for Gerontological Research at UCLA
An interdisciplinary center for applied research that creates, tests, and promotes the adoption of interventions to improve care and quality of life for persons with long-term care needs.

LASI focuses on the health, economic, and social well-being of India's elderly population.
Los Angeles Aging Research Alliance (LAARA)
The Los Angeles Aging Research Alliance promotes age-related advances from USC, UCLA and other area organizations working to improve health and well-being across the lifespan.
Study of Women Across the Nation (SWAN)
A multi-site longitudinal, epidemiologic study designed to examine the health of women during their middle years.
UCLA California Center for Population Research (CCPR)
The center’s focus on training has attracted graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from a range of disciplines.
USC/UCLA Center on Biodemography and Population Health (CBPH)
The overarching goal of the Center is to enhance understanding of biological processes that contribute to population health at older ages and drive health disparities among disadvantaged sub-populations.
VA Fellowship in Health Care Innovation, Implementation and Policy
The purpose of this program is to train physicians and associated health professionals to advance clinical care, teaching, scholarship, and system improvements related to the advancement of healthcare for women Veterans.
