About Us
Transformative Aging Science
The UCLA Division of Geriatrics has remained a world leader in leading-edge aging research and geriatric clinical care since 1979. Our wide-ranging scholarship lays the groundwork for innovation in national policy, advances health care delivery for older adults and produces new treatments for age-induced disease. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to excellence, our division continues to shape the future of aging research, education and patient care.
The division coordinates these efforts across three core sites: UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) and the affiliated Anna and Harry Borun Center for Gerontological Research, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and its Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) and Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) Program, and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Together, these sites form the UCLA Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology (MPGMG). With over 40 full-time faculty members, the MPGMG is among the world's largest academic geriatrics programs.
