Final Session Orientation

Before You Start:

• Background checks and any required approvals (IRB, IBC, ARC) can take a week or longer to clear.
• While waiting, you can still access the Orientation Quiz on your Volunteer Dashboard.
• Your clearance will only be finalized after all approvals are complete.

Step 1: Read the Orientation Guides

• You must carefully read your program’s Orientation Information Guide and related sheets. These explain policies and guidelines for Volunteers and UCLA SRP Students:
  • CUHS Orientation Information Guide
  • NCUHS Orientation Information Guide
  • Sexual Harassment Information Sheet 

Step 2: Complete the Orientation Quiz

• The quiz becomes available after your On-Boarding Appointment.
• Important: You need 100% to pass. If you don’t, you must retake the quiz.
• All answers are in the Orientation Guides.
• You won’t see which questions you missed, so read carefully before attempting.

After You Pass the Quiz:

• Our coordinators will activate your volunteer record, changing your status to "Active" in the system.
• Once your status is "Active":
  • You and your supervisor will receive a clearance confirmation email with next steps.
    • The badging process instructions will be included in the email.
  • Your dashboard will switch to the Annual Compliance Dashboard (ACD).
