UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind is dedicated to supporting physical education with a hands-on, well rounded approach. To assist our SBSM community of educators, we have compiled a list of physical education, health, nutrition, and wellness related resources that support the whole child.

Mindful March

Mindful March

UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind and UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center have collaborated to bring you Mindful March! Mindful March is a ten week education unit for physical education teachers to bring mindfulness techniques and practices into their classroom.

This 10 week mindfulness journey began in Spring of 2020, but is still available for you to use. Each course has a video lesson designed specifically for middle and high school students for you to easily implement in your classroom. Mindfulness has scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, reduce emotional reactivity, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.

UCLA Health Sound Body Sound Mind has partnered with UCLA Health Sports Performance powered by EXOS! The below video series were created by experts in the field to assist educators in fitness and nutrition lesson planning. Each series includes guided workout or nutrition lessons specifically designed for middle school and high school students.
