Kiara was a recipient of the Kidney STARS (Students and Residents) program in 2024.The goal of the ASN Kidney Students and Residents (STARS) program is to stimulate interest in nephrology among medical students, residents, and graduate students and to provide the opportunity to explore nephrology careers. The program is for those with an interest in nephrology (who have not yet committed to applying to a nephrology or pediatric nephrology fellowship) and for those with an interest in kidney research.
