Preceptor Development Hybrid Workshop
Course Details
The Preceptor Development Hybrid Workshop is a two-part course that includes (8) hours of e-learning modules followed by (1) four (4)-hour live, virtual session on Zoom.
The Preceptor Development Course includes the following core areas:
- Bridge cultural and generational differences
- Define Preceptor role(s) and expectations
- Incorporate learning styles and teaching techniques
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving strategies
- Role model providing positive and constructive feedback
- Demonstrate strategies to overcome challenges and resolve conflicts
Target Audience
Preceptors must have a minimum of 1 year of work experience at UCLA Health. Nurses who are experienced, inexperienced, current preceptors, and/or future preceptors are all welcome to take the training.

Manager approval is required to attend the course.
