Patient Ordering Process
- Enter a PICC order in CareConnect. PICC orders should be generated by a Physician or mid-level provider. Please specify the indication for the procedure, number of lumens required, duration of therapy, and sedation requirements.
- If you do not have access to CareConnect, please have ordering physician fax the order in addition to a recent H&P, medication list, and lab work to 310-794-2210 or you can Email @ [email protected].
- The physician's office or patient may call 310-825-5565 option # 3 to schedule an appointment once the PICC has been ordered.
- Outpatient PICCs are scheduled at various UCLA Interventional Radiology Centers depending on patient’s residence and/or preference.
- PICCs may be scheduled at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center based on availability.
- Please instruct patients to arrive 30 minutes prior to scheduled appointment to check in for the procedure.
