Why Choose UCLA Health for Cancer Care
At UCLA Health Westwood Cancer Care, patients have access to some of the nation's leading cancer specialists, advanced therapies and innovative research programs — all within one of the country's premier academic medical centers. Patients get access to:
Cancer breakthroughs that become patient care
Many of today's leading cancer treatments were developed, tested or refined by UCLA Health researchers and physicians. As part of the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, patients receive care informed by recent discoveries, including advances in targeted therapies, immunotherapy, cellular therapies and precision medicine.
Specialized expertise for complex cancers
Westwood is home to multidisciplinary teams focused on a wide range of cancer types, including bladder, kidney, prostate, lung, gastrointestinal and blood cancers, as well as sarcomas. This concentration of expertise allows patients with even the most challenging diagnoses to receive highly specialized care tailored to their specific condition.
Advanced treatments not widely available elsewhere
Patients have access to innovative therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy, clinical trials and emerging treatment approaches that may not be available at other cancer centers. No two cancers are exactly alike, which is why our specialists develop individualized treatment plans designed around each patient's diagnosis, biology and goals.
Comprehensive support for the whole person
Cancer care extends beyond medical treatment alone. With access to palliative care, pain medicine, clinical nutrition and other supportive services, patients get care that addresses their physical, emotional and practical needs throughout treatment and recovery. That's the type of holistic care that sets us apart.
