Caroline Y. Chen, MD, PhD

Dr. Caroline Chen is a medical oncologist and hematologist practicing in Santa Monica. She provides care to patients with all types of blood disorders and specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and multiple myeloma. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chen is a research scientist focused on using bioinformatics to improve clinical decision making and patient outcomes. 

Dr. Chen earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internal medicine residency and hematology/medical oncology fellowship at UCLA, where she was selected to serve as the co-Chief Fellow of the Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) Program in her final year. Dr. Chen is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, yoga, and spending time with her family.
