Health Equity and Inclusive Excellence

UCLA Health recognizes health equity and justice as the foundation of excellent, high quality, and affirming care. We are dedicated to making our hospitals, clinics, and services places where everyone feels welcomed and treated with dignity, with respect to their background, circumstances, and beliefs.

Our Office of Health Equity and Inclusive Excellence offers a wide range of programs and initiatives designed to promote fairness, celebrate diversity, and improve the wellness of all who come through our doors—patients, staff, the Los Angeles community and beyond.

What we believe

We are committed to anti-racism and antidiscrimination in our care and workplace. Our diverse perspectives make us stronger. We strive for excellence in our care delivery, workplace culture, and community partnerships.

Every person who comes to UCLA Health deserves compassionate, world-class care. We honor the diversity of our patients and understand the challenges many face. Our goal is to provide personalized care that meets each patient’s medical and social needs.

Our People

We know that a diverse and inclusive team creates better outcomes for everyone. We’re committed to building a supportive, respectful workplace where all team members can thrive.

Our Community

Health goes beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics. We partner with local organizations to tackle the social and economic challenges that affect health outcomes and barriers to access, ensuring that our care reaches those who need it most.
