Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology

Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology
Skeletal and soft tissue pathology is the study of bone, skeletal muscle, and soft tissue disorders including degenerative, inflammatory, neoplastic and non-neoplastic conditions. Tumors of bone and soft tissues, including sarcomas, are relatively rare and complete evaluation requires both expertise and use of modern techniques. Biopsies as well as complete resections are examined with special emphasis on correlation with therapy and use of predictive markers. The service offers state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, including molecular diagnostics, cytopathology, immuno-cytochemistry, electron microscopy, flow cytometry, and cytogenetics.
