Our Global Health Track offers neurology residents the opportunity to gain invaluable international clinical experience through established partnerships with health institutions in Mexico City, Thailand, Uganda, Zambia, and London. Eligible residents may participate in rotations during their PGY-3 and/or PGY-4 years, subject to current travel and health guidelines.

This track goes beyond clinical exposure by providing dedicated academic advising and supporting the development of a meaningful global health research project. Each year, participants share their experiences and insights at our Annual Program Retreat held at the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center.

Our residents have a strong track record of securing extramural funding to support their research and have been recognized with the American Neurological Association’s International Outreach Travel Scholarship.

A unique highlight of the Global Health Track is our formal exchange program with the Mexican National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery (Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía) in Mexico City. We proudly sponsor travel and accommodations for our residents and visiting colleagues from INNN.
