Program Description

Healthcare quality improvement is a continuous journey of discovering opportunities, designing innovative solutions, implementing meaningful change, evaluating outcomes, and sharing lessons that improve patient care. This symposium brings together interdisciplinary healthcare leaders, clinicians, staff, trainees, and quality professionals to explore the complete quality improvement lifecycle through keynote presentations, TED-style talks, interactive panel discussions, and poster presentations.

Organized around three phases: (1) Discover the Problem, (2) Create the Change, and (3) Share the Learning, the program highlights real-world examples of how data, innovation, collaboration, and scholarship can drive measurable improvements in quality, safety, and patient outcomes. Participants will leave with practical strategies to lead improvement efforts, sustain meaningful change, and disseminate successful initiatives within their own organizations, strengthening learning health systems and advancing healthcare quality across diverse settings.

Objectives

By the end of this symposium, participants will be able to:

  • Discover the Problem (Identify & Design): Recognize opportunities for improvement using data, analytics, patient experiences, and quality measurement to identify meaningful gaps in care and inform the design of improvement efforts.
  • Create the Change (Implement, Evaluate & Sustain): Describe strategies to implement, evaluate, and sustain quality improvement initiatives that improve patient outcomes, healthcare delivery, and organizational performance.
  • Share the Learning (Disseminate): Identify opportunities to disseminate quality improvement work through presentations, publications, and collaborative scholarship to accelerate organizational learning and spread best practices across healthcare settings.

Continuing Education

Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) credit are planned for this activity. Additional information regarding credit availability and requirements will be provided to registered participants.
