Community Engagement & Inclusive Excellence Programs and Activities

Lunch & Learn

These workshops are designed to foster community and strengthen capacity within the Department of Medicine. Staff members from across the department come together virtually to explore foundational terminology, exchange effective leadership strategies, and identify areas for growth within their teams. By sharing insights and experiences, participants contribute to a broader understanding of the department’s landscape from the staff’s perspective.

Leaning Into New Knowledge (LINK)

The LINK series is dedicated to personal and professional growth, equipping DoM staff with practical skills they can apply in their work and daily lives. Held monthly, these sessions emphasize Reflection & Realignment, helping participants explore high-quality questions and take intentional steps toward meaningful progress. Each topic is carefully selected based on insights from DoM staff gathered through Lunch & Learn sessions, one-on-one conversations, and interviews with staff leaders. Staff members are encouraged to participate either in person or via Zoom.

Doc & Talk

This series blends education and community engagement, inviting DoM staff to watch a documentary and share their reflections over lunch. Each month’s selection aligns with a cultural heritage observance, creating a space for meaningful discussions that connect influential figures and historical moments to our own lives and work experiences. Staff members are welcome to join in person - with lunch provided - or participate via Zoom.
