Application Process
Thank you for considering the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine for your Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Training.
We will be accepting applications for the 2027 – 2028 academic year beginning Monday, January 5, 2026.
Four fellowship positions are available per year.
Application deadline: Wednesday, March 4, 2026
Interview Dates: TBD
Interviews are by invitation only. Your file will not be reviewed until it is complete.
The expected start date for the Fellowship is August 1st.
Prior to appointment in the program, all fellows must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency in anesthesiology and must possess a valid California medical license.
Application File Requirements:
Please submit the following to the SF Match application database at sfmatch.org.
- Completed fellowship application
- Central Application Service (CAS) Application
- Personal Statement
- Curriculum vitae including a list of publications
- USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3/COMLEX 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent transcripts
- Three letters of recommendation by physicians who are familiar with you professionally and personally (one must be from your Residency Program Director).
- MSPE
- Medical School Diploma (or letter from medical school with official seal verifying date of graduation; international medical graduates should include a notarized English translation)
- Medical School Transcripts (international medical graduates should include a notarized English translation)
- Valid ECFMG Certificate (if international medical graduate)
- In-Training Examination Score Reports during residency
- ABA Basic Examination Result Letter
- Wallet-sized Photo
