Stacy went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my MRI. I am severely claustrophobic in MRI machines and my medication did not kick in so I was panicking internally, sweating and breathing heavily. She offered to put music on for me and that actually calmed me down while I was inside the machine. It was very important for me not to delay my care because of an episode I could potentially have and her actions and words of encouragement really helped me get through my study. A long overdue thank you. On Oct 12, 1968, I was involved in a motorcycle accident on UCLA property and was taken to UCLA Hospital Emergency. I was treated by Dr. Alexakis and staff for the next 17 months for a compound fracture of both bones in my lower left leg. I just want Dr. Alexakis know that now at 71 I lead an active life with no particular problems with my leg. I never won a leg beauty contest but it has functioned quite well. I could still beat my son at handball into my 40's. Thanks to you and the great staff.

My husband became a patient of Dr. Aldave after seeing no fewer than 12 ophthalmologists and having 2 failed cornea transplants. Needless to say, we were very discouraged and fearful that he may never have sight in his eye again. However, from the moment my husband met Dr. Aldave, his life changed for the better. Here's why he's different: Dr. Aldave takes a great deal of time to observe, listen and communicate with my husband in a compassionate and humorous way. He is methodical and meticulous when dictating his notes to the fellow, and his obvious extensive knowledge of the cornea makes every appointment interesting. He delivers leading edge patient care with compassion, integrity and respect. We cannot say enough about the welcoming, healing environment Dr. Aldave creates at UCLA, even though we are new to UCLA.

This is by far the most invasive procedure I've ever had done in my life but with Dr. Cohen's talented hands its the easiest and most (almost) pain-free surgery of my life. He has no idea how he's given me my life back! I've suffered so much from severe pain from my myomectomy with Dr. Parvataneni in 2014 to the point that I didn't want to live anymore. That is 5 long years of hell for me!!! I was in constant agony every month from my myomectomy complications and I didn't think that anyone could help me. It was so bad that I had given up on motherhood (my ultimate dream) just so that I could live another day. I almost lost the job that I love from calling out too much! Dr. Cohen gave me my life back!!! I am so happy I can't even put into words how grateful I am. I went into surgery with Dr. Cohen, unsure and very nervous of my outcome but I prayed day and night that he could at least get me better, even just a little bit. I mean I'd take it! I'd take anything to get me better from my severe scarring and adhesions from my myomectomy. Not only did Dr. Cohen make me pain-free, he also liberated me from 5yrs of hell and suffering. I feel so much lighter, freer, not constricted in any way. I felt such relief post op that I couldn't tell if I was suffering from pain or not. I am so happy I got my old self back again. I used to think that drs are so used to performing so many surgeries that it was no big deal for them how they affect patients lives as long as "they deal with the problem". But with Dr. Cohen's talented hands, I am a new person looking forward to life. I know it's very unlikely now but I may revisit my motherhood options bec of the way I feel after Dr. Cohen's miraculous hands, nothing is impossible. I admit that I am not one who is very easy to please (ask my husband) but Dr. Cohen gets all the praise from me! Thank you, thank you, thank you

Dr Robert Chin was my physician throughout my 6 weeks of radiation, after 3 years of being told there was nothing to do be done for me he was willing to try radiation. 6 months later and I have been feeling amazing and the post care MRI's show that treatment has worked.
Dr Chin was so caring and such a great physician with great bedside manners! He always made me feel comfortable and helped me see that light at the end of the tunnel. I couldn't be more thankful.
