Student Volunteers
College student recruitment will open mid-February for Errand/Escort Service.
- Registration for Information Session will post on this webpage on Thursday, February 13 @ 11AM. Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited slots available.
There will be no recruitment for high school students Summer 2025.

Available Opportunities
Errand/Escort
Warmly greet all patients, visitors, staff and volunteers and assist with wayfinding. Stock isolation carts on all nursing floors. Assist in transferring and discharging patients. Delivery of items to patients and/or specific locations. Complete non-clinical tasks for various departments, when called-upon and as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- Must be a college/university student.
- A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, military ID)
- Visa Status: Policies regarding non-immigrant visa holders wishing to volunteer are under review at this time. Currently, Volunteer Services is only able to process full-time UCLA matriculating students on F1 Visas.
- Agreement to volunteer for 100 hours; commitment of four hours per week.
Health Requirements
- Proof of Varicella, MMR, QuantiFERON-TB GOLD blood test and be fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19. Please
Individuals must either have the most recent COVID vaccine.

Applying to the General Student Volunteer Program
Step 1: Sign-up for a MANDATORY Information Session.
Step 2: Apply - Applications will be emailed after the MANDATORY Information Session. Only invited invited individuals who attend the MANDATORY Information Session will receive an application. Complete online application (Please do not mail or drop-off application. It will not be accepted.)
Step 3: Background Check - complete MANDATORY background check (discussed at Information Session)
Step 4: Complete and upload all required training modules and medical requirements by set deadlines (discussed at Information Session).
Step 5: Attend MANDATORY in-person Orientation.
