Meena S. Makhijani, DO
About
Dr. Makhijani is a Geriatrician, providing primary care for individuals 65 years and over; as well as providing consultative services for Geriatric syndromes.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, she worked as a design engineer on devices for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms for a global medical device company. She then went on to pursue medicine, graduating from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After that she returned home to the Los Angeles area, completing a Family Medicine Residency at Northridge Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at UCLA.
She is currently Chief of Staff of the Motion Picture and Television Hospital, in addition to her Geriatrics practice at the Age Well facility.
Dr. Makhijani is also board certified in Integrative Holistic Medicine. In addition to her passion for caring for older adults, she also has a passion for global relief work. She has done disaster relief work in Haiti and Nepal and medical missions in various parts of the globe.
