1. My experience with Dr. Sharf. was very insightful and healing. In discussing my situation with her, I felt truly supported by her engagement. Dr. Sharf is someone for whom this profession is truly a calling. She’s someone who has great empathy and who really cares about the patient. Her beside manner is perfect. It seems to be common practice these days to get the patients in and out of the doctor’s office as soon as possible to make way for the next patient. Such an approach can make one feel undervalued and more of a number than an actual person. With Dr. Sharf, I felt seen and heard, which is important when one is struggling to communicate an issue. We need that time and in this case I was given that and more. I left our appointment feeling so much better about myself. That, in turn, is a form of healing that many other doctors/hospitals should take note of. It’s fundamental, yet not given enough priority. Thank god there are doctors like Dr. Sharf practicing out there. They make the world a better place. Thank you, Dr. Sharf!!
