About
Dr. Devesh Upadhya (pronounced "ooh-paw-the-eye") is a primary care physician who lives and practices in Santa Clarita. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics and sees patients of all ages. He is committed to working with patients from all walks of life to help them understand and take charge of their health.
Devesh grew up in Orange County. He received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Before coming to Santa Clarita, he was a practicing physician in Houston.
At work, Dr. Upadhya is interested in the full breadth of primary care. He is passionate about taking a scientific, evidence-based approach to helping patients maintain a healthy lifestyle and take only the medicines that they need.
Dr. Upadhya cooks several days a week when he's not busy exploring the outdoors with his wife and daughter. He's been a consistent runner since 2011 - his longest run was the Two Oceans Ultramarathon in South Africa.
