Clinical Research Services

RSVP

The Research Study Volunteer Project (RSVP) is a program matching people with and without HIV in Los Angeles County with HIV related research at UCLA and Charles Drew University (CDU). We want everyone in Los Angeles who is interested in research studies to be able to find one that fits their needs.

UCLA CFAR Clinical Science Core

Our Core provides a wide array of regulatory and recruitment services for investigators conducting patient-oriented research in HIV and other commonly associated conditions.

What does the Core do?

1. HIV RSVP (Recruitment Assistance): RSVP is a volunteer registry of participants with and without HIV in the greater Los Angeles area. RSVP aims to match potential study participants to IRB-approved research studies and help investigators enroll their studies more quickly.
2. Regulatory Assistance: the Regulatory arm helps guide researchers through IRB and other regulatory submissions

The Core can also link investigators to other resources and collaborators available at and outside of UCLA to execute research, as well as to community members to receive feedback on research protocols through the UCLA-CDU CFAR Community Advisory Board.

Who can use the Core?

  • UCLA and Charles Drew faculty, fellows, new researchers, and translational researchers who do not have a great deal of experience with human subjects research are our primary Core users.
  • Experienced faculty may also utilize the services of the Core to help support their research program.

How much do Core services cost?

Rates for our services here on the Services and Fees tab. Services are free for eligible trainees. Please contact us to see if you are eligible for services at no charge.
