UCLA Health is opening a new cancer care center in Atascadero in response to the significant need for oncology services in North San Luis Obispo County. The center opens on Monday, July 28, 2025.
The new UCLA Health Atascadero Cancer Care Center provides comprehensive cancer care services including hematology and medical oncology, chemotherapy, biologic therapy, targeted immunotherapy, and treatment for blood disorders, leukemia and lymphoma. The new cancer care center is located at 1930 El Camino Real.
The center addresses a critical healthcare access gap in the region, where many patients had to visit San Luis Obispo, Salinas, or the Bay Area for care. The Atascadero location is strategically positioned to serve the underserved North County community and can accommodate up to 200 patients per week.
The center provides world-class cancer care powered by ongoing research, the latest technology and a comprehensive, team-based, whole-person approach. Patients and families also receive integrative support services. That includes access to clinical trials being done at UCLA, now available locally, as well as and the psychosocial support services provided by The Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology.
This marks UCLA Health's 20th cancer facility in California and builds upon the health system's existing presence in the region, which began with the opening of its San Luis Obispo cancer care center in 2019.
The UCLA Health Atascadero Cancer Care Center opens on July 28. For more information, visit Atascadero Cancer Care or call 805-466-1001.
