UCLA is verified as a Level 1 Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, and is one of 15 trauma centers in the County of Los Angeles.  Our trauma catchment area covers 336 square miles.   An entire team of specialized physicians and medical personnel, including trauma surgeons, are in the hospital 24/7 to treat life-threatening injuries and perform immediate life-saving surgical intervention if needed.  

The service can be accessed by calling either the director, the chief resident, or the attending on call for the service 24 hours a day through the UCLA page operator at 310-825-6301.
