Respiratory Therapists (RT) assigned to work in 6ICU at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center assess and treat patient’s pulmonary status and disorders.
RT collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of professionals at a level I trauma center including:
- Nursing
- Neurocritical Care
- Neurosurgery & Neurology
- Pulmonary & Critical Care
- Trauma & Surgery
- Anesthesiology
- Pharmaceutical Services
- Case managers
- Social and Rehabilitation Services
This collaboration also includes but is not limited to:
- The Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center
- The Cerebral Blood Flow Laboratory
- Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine
The ICU setting is very dynamic and ideal for the Respiratory Therapist who enjoys high acuity critical care setting.
