Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is performed by a certified UCLA massage therapist.

Massage is beneficial to relieve stress, encourage relaxation, and promote a sense of well-being. Relaxation massage therapy services are available bedside to inpatients (those hospitalized within UCLA Health).

For Patients

If you are interested in receiving massage therapy, simply make the request to your nurse or physician at any time during your hospitalization. Once you get approval, your nurse or physician will submit a request and a massage therapist will be dispatched as available. Currently, this service is not offered to outpatients.

Staff and Family Members (Adults Only)

Chair massage is available by appointment for family members and UCLA Health staff at the following locations:

• Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
• Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital
