Melita L. Daley, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Melita Daley, MD, FRCPC, is Medical Director of UCLA’s Pediatric Psychopharmacology Clinic and faculty in Child Psychiatry. A UCLA fellowship graduate, she has extensive experience treating at-risk youth, including those in foster care and juvenile hall. She works with ages 3–18 on neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders, has earned multiple NIH and NARSAD awards, and has been a Southern California Super Doctor since 2019.

Bonnie T. Zima, MD

Bonnie T. Zima, MD

Attending

Dr. Bonnie Zima, Professor-in-Residence and Director of UCLA’s MINDS Hub, focuses on improving quality and equity of child mental health care for underserved populations. Her work spans national hospitalization data, telehealth, predictive analytics, and pediatric integrated care. She co-developed a child mental health diagnostic system and leads major NIH- and state-funded projects. Widely recognized for mentorship and research, she serves on multiple national advisory and editorial boards.

Sabrina H. Reed, MD

Sabrina H. Reed, MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr. Sabrina Reed, Associate Vice Chair of Education and Assistant Clinical Professor in UCLA Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, earned her BA at Northwestern and MD at University of Illinois-Chicago. After residency at Wisconsin-Madison and a UCLA fellowship (chief fellow), she now supervises trainees in multiple clinical settings and the pediatric psychopharmacology clinic. Passionate about education, she holds a master’s in academic medicine and directs several UCLA training programs.

Misty C. Richards, MD, MS

Psychiatry

Dr. Misty Richards is a UCLA child, adult, and reproductive psychiatrist with joint appointments in Child Psychiatry and OB-GYN. She directs the Child Psychiatry Fellowship, co-chairs the UCLA DGSOM Medical Education Committee, and leads Infant Mental Health in UCLA’s Maternal Mental Health IOP. Co-founder of the MOMS Clinic, she specializes in perinatal mood disorders, psychosis, lifespan psychopharmacology, and parent-infant attachment.

Oluwafikunmi M. Sobowale, MD

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr. Kunmi Sobowale, Assistant Professor and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at the UCLA Semel Institute, researches prevention and early intervention of mental illness in the perinatal period and early childhood. He uses digital health tools, such as mobile sensing and EHR data, to study determinants of perinatal depression and how it impacts caregiver-child interactions and child developmental outcomes.
