Dr. Afsarmanesh is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Medicine & Neurosurgery, and the Associate Chief Medical Officer at UCLA Hospitals. She serves as the Executive Director of Quality & Safety for the Departments of Medicine and Neurosurgery, leading a comprehensive quality program spanning all settings of care. She has successfully implemented initiatives in quality, safety, patient satisfaction, utilization and efficiency and cost.

Dr. Baril is an Associate Professor in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UCLA Health. He received his M.D. from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2001, completed his general surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital and his vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Prior to joining UCLA, he held academic positions at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Hommes is a certified internist and gastroenterologist specialized in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). His PhD thesis (1994) dealt with novel drug targets for IBD. He initiated the Pearl String Initiative (PSI) in 2006, a national academic biobanking infrastructure between the eight Dutch University Medical Centers covering eight disease areas.

Dr. Kaldas is Associate Director of the Abdominal Transplant & Hepatobiliary Fellowship Program and Director of the Liver Transplant Program. He completed his undergraduate studies in microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics at UCLA and obtained his MD degree at the University of California, Irvine. He completed his surgical residency training at SUNY Stony Brook before returning to UCLA for his multi organ transplant fellowship training under the mentorship of Dr. Ronald W. Busuttil.

Dr. Moriarty is a specialist in vascular and interventional radiology at UCLA. He is a member of both the departments of Radiology and Medicine (cardiology). His areas of clinical expertise and research interest include venous disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), IVC filters and arteriovenous venous malformations. His expertise includes the use of advanced imaging scans for cardiac and vascular disease diagnosis and management.

Dr. Woo is an Associate Professor of Surgery at UCLA and a Vascular Surgeon at the Los Angeles VA Hospital. Though an active teaching faculty member, she is not currently seeing patients at UCLA.
