Care Provided at Barlow Respiratory Hospital
I wanted to share my thoughts of gratitude and appreciation towards the superb UCLA Barlow Hospital hospitalists. Unfortunately, my father has been very ill and has spent much of the last year in the hospital. For the past three months he has been on a ventilator at UCLA Barlow Hospital. The care he has received from the UCLA Barlow hospitalist team has been nothing short of exceptional. Every UCLA Barlow physician that has cared for my father has done so with great skill, patience, and compassion. They have been so generous with their time and have had numerous long conversations with my family members and me. I get a daily phone call with an update, which I greatly appreciate. This has been a very challenging time for me and my family, and words cannot fully express the gratitude I have towards the UCLA Barlow team (hospitalists, palliative care and pulmonologists). Frankly, I cannot imagine that my father would be alive today without their amazing care.

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care I received from Dr. Jonathan Garcia during my recent stay at your hospital.
From the beginning, he demonstrated not only professionalism and medical expertise but also genuine kindness and compassion. He took the time to listen to my concerns, explain things clearly, and make sure I felt supported every step of the way. His calm and caring presence made a difficult time much more bearable, and I always felt like I was in capable and thoughtful hands.
It's rare to encounter a physician who combines clinical skill with such authentic empathy, and I’m truly grateful for the difference he made in my experience.

During my patient rounds this afternoon, a patient and a family member shared their appreciation for the exceptional care Dr. Neveen El-Farra provided. They specifically mentioned that Dr. El-Farra was an excellent listener, took the time to answer all their questions, and offered clear reassurance regarding the plan of care. Thank you to Dr. El-Farra for her dedication and compassion - it truly makes a difference in our patients’ experiences.

I truly lucked out when seen by Dr. Inderpreet Saini last weekend in the new Urgent Care Center at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. I’ve worked here 35 years and have encountered hundreds of doctors and health providers along the way. I was blown away by Dr. Saini’s responsiveness, patient focused care, thoroughness and regular communications with me. Dr. Saini represents the best of medicine.
It was refreshing to have a doctor call me several times to review my labs and follow up to make sure my numbers were trending down. I can’t find enough words to praise Dr. Saini and the Urgent Care Center at Ronald Reagan for superb care. You can feel very proud.
Care Provided at Los Robles
I just need to tell you how impressed I was with Dr. Deep Desai and the care he provided my dad. He facilitated an appointment with a cardiologist when we suspected a heart attack, and then with a pulmonologist when his oxygen saturation levels kept dropping. Dr. Desai was attentive, thorough, compassionate, patient and continued to follow through for the duration of my dad’s stay at Los Robles. He did a brilliant job in managing my dad’s care, and my family and I were so grateful that he was a Los Robles hospitalist. I am a nurse of 42 years, and I know what a difference a compassionate, professional, dedicated person makes in the lives of a patient. Please let him know how greatly appreciative we all are for having such a spectacular doctor on board!

A sincere gratitude may not be enough to express my highest commendation to Dr. Aleksey Korolyov. This is long overdue. I have lost count of how many patients and families have expressed their appreciation and gratitude for his exceptional care and bedside manner. Dr. Aleksey is not only remarkably appreciated by his patients/families but also by the rest of the team, and most especially by the case managers. He calls us back every time we page him, he has an upbeat attitude and a fantastic work ethic and he is very patient when working with us with our hard placement cases. It is a profound honor and pleasure working with Dr. Korolyov. The team is grateful to have him.
