Jaseng Medical Academy

Jaseng Hospital of Korean Medicine in Seoul is a leader in integrative and Traditional Korean Medicine education, clinical practice, and research. The hospital is internationally recognized for its evidence-based, non-surgical integrative approach to musculoskeletal disorders, particularly spine and joint conditions, combining Chuna manual therapy, acupuncture, pharmacopuncture (acupuncture injection therapy), and customized herbal medicine based on conventional diagnostic imaging such as X-ray, MRI and ultrasound.

Jaseng Medical Academy coordinates international exchanges, continuing medical education (CME), and research collaborations with institutions worldwide. Visiting students gain exposure to Korean Medicine through structured clinical observations, workshops, and participation in seminars. Rotations are typically 2-4 weeks in length, accommodating groups of 5–20 students, depending on the program, which is customizable depending on the group. Opportunities include observing outpatient clinics, shadowing physicians, and visiting external facilities such as herbal dispensaries and partner hospitals for interdisciplinary experiences.

These programs provide valuable insights into integrative, evidence-based, patient-centered care while fostering cross-cultural learning. They also offer one of the best opportunities to understand global health perspectives within a dynamic clinical and academic environment.
