The Chase Child Life Program offers training programs for students at every level of university experience. Each student program is designed to meet the individual learning needs of the student, while maintaining high educational standards and providing a foundation for students to learn about the psychosocial needs of children in healthcare.
The Chase Child Life Program at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital accepts Graduate (Masters) level students who are currently enrolled in University Programs (“Affiliated Students”).
Training programs are typically offered during Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. Currently we are accepting applications for practicum and intern students.

Child Life Internship Program
The Chase Child Life Program offers a 600-hour clinical internship, under the direct supervision of experienced Certified Child Life Specialists. The ACLP accredited internship curriculum is constructed to address the Child Life Council Certification requirements. Students in the internship program will undergo rigorous training in preparation for their future careers and certification examinations.
