Patients in the UCLA Asian Liver Program receive the care of some of the finest and most-experienced hepatologists, surgeons, diagnostic and interventional radiologists and surgical-critical-care specialists in the country.  The nursing staff and other caregivers in the patient ward and Intensive Care Unit have experience in caring for patients with liver disease that exceeds what can be found in most other centers.

Director, Asian Liver Program, Philip L. Palumbo Chair in Clinical Hepatology

Steven-Huy Han received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and attended medical school at Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, where he received his MD degree. Following a residency in internal medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and Stanford University, Dr. Han completed a clinical fellowship in hepatology at the University of Southern California.

Steven Raman, MD

Associate Professor of Radiology

Steven S. Raman is an associate professor of radiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He received his MD degree from USC, where he graduated with highest distinction. He finished a residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at UC San Diego, where he was chief resident.  After finishing his fellowship in abdominal imaging and intervention at UCLA, he was invited to join the faculty, where he currently serves as director of the Abdominal Imaging Fellowship.
