Pancreatic Cancer and Diseases Program

UCLA Health’s Pancreatic Cancer and Diseases Program provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with pancreatic conditions. Our high-volume program delivers expert treatment for pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma), pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatic cysts, acute and chronic pancreatitis, and periampullary and other bile duct tumors.
Central to our approach is a weekly multidisciplinary tumor board and clinic, where patients receive coordinated care from multiple specialists in a single visit. Nurse practitioners and patient navigators ensure smooth care coordination, reducing the burden on patients. We also offer numerous clinical trials, giving patients access to the latest advancements in treatment.
National Recognition for Excellence
Recognized by the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF) as a Clinical and Academic Center of Excellence for Adult Pancreatitis and Pancreatic Cancer, UCLA Health is distinguished for its commitment to innovative, patient-centered care. This designation highlights our expertise in treating the "whole patient" to achieve optimal outcomes and an improved quality of life.
Agi Hirshberg Center for Pancreatic Diseases
To further enhance patient care, UCLA Health launched the Agi Hirshberg Center for Pancreatic Diseases in 2024. Located within the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Medical Building alongside the UCLA Pfleger Liver Institute, this state-of-the-art facility houses an integrated practice unit (IPU) designed to manage complex pancreatic cases. The center offers private exam rooms, abundant natural light, and ocean views, fostering a comfortable and collaborative environment for both patients and providers. Plans are underway to introduce a dedicated patient liaison to further streamline care coordination. Discover how the Agi Hirshberg Center is transforming pancreatic disease care—watch the video.
