Benefits
Academic Conferences
Funding for travel and per diem is available for each professional radiology conference where posters or oral presentations are accepted. Additionally, time is granted to attend one professional radiology conference per academic year for educational purposes, regardless of presentation status, under the supervision of a full-time faculty member of the Department or integrated institution.
Leaves

Program Events
- End of the Year Event– Graduation banquet for the graduating class and award presentation for residents and faculty
- Welcome Event – Annual event to welcome new residents, fellows, and faculty to the Radiology department
- Department Chair/Resident Luncheon – A quarterly luncheon with the department chair and program director which provides a forum to discuss department and profession updates.
- Retreats – Annual retreat in the LA area for a day of team building and relaxation
- Research Day – Participating residents and fellows present a diverse array of basic, translational, and clinical research in the department.
- Career Day Symposium – Annual event for residents/fellows in which UCLA partners with the California Radiologic Society to introduce career opportunities available in private practice, academic, and telehealth radiology. Lawyers and business professionals join in as well to offer their insights on essential business aspects for your career.
