UCLA-LAUSD Neuroscience Education Series for High School Students
The UCLA Neurosurgery department has partnered with the LAUSD – CTE (Career Technical Education Section) to deliver a series of lectures to high school students online. The topics center on Neuroscience and career guidance and are given by a variety of professionals from UCLA.

Medical Student Summer Research Program in Neurosurgery
The UCLA Neurosurgery department has partnered with Johns Hopkins, University of Miami MILLER School of Medicine, NYU Langone Health, University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), University of North Carolina, and Washington University in St. Louis to offer a Summer Research Scholarship in Neurosurgery in support of medical students interested in neurosurgery and neuroscience. The purpose of the award is to provide a neurosurgical based research fellowship for medical students who wish to gain experience in the fields of neuroscience and neurosurgery, and have early exposure to the field of neurosurgery.
Congratulations to Jimmy Lira from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and Kapsa Bengyella from Agnes Scott College and the NIH for matching at UCLA for the 2025 Summer Research Scholarship!
