Application Process
We strive for a diverse and inclusive group of residents united by the earnest and spirited pursuit of educational excellence, learning with integrity and committed to the advancement of neurosurgery. Invitations to interview for these positions are based on a holistic review of the application, taking into account the applicant’s experience.
We request three letters and will accept a maximum of four letters of recommendation which must be submitted via ERAS.
Length of Program: Seven years (PGY1-7) including internship and a research experience.
Positions available: Three residents per year
Eligibility Requirements: Graduate of an accredited United States or Canadian school. UCLA accepts applications from International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with the appropriate ECFMG certification.

Interviews will be in-person the first three Wednesdays of January 2026 (7, 14, 21) for applicants invited to meet with the program. Invitations will be extended at/after 1pm PT on Fridays in alignment with the Society of Neurological Surgery guidelines.
