Thanks in part to the generosity of many individuals, the UCLA Division of Nephrology continues to be a national and world leader in patient care, treatment, training, and the research of kidney disease.
Kidney Programs
We offer a full consultative service for the evaluation of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, fluid and electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and kidney stone disease. The Outpatient Dialysis Service offers both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
Research
The division has made an outstanding commitment to research, patient care, teaching, and service. Our current and long-term objective is to offer a first-rate nephrology training environment for renal fellows.
Training Programs
The Division of Nephrology offers a General Nephrology Fellowship, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Additionally, the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program, offers a Transplant Fellowship, accredited by the American Society of Transplantation and the American Society of Nephrology.
Clinical Fellowship
The Division of Nephrology is regarded as one of the top nephrology programs in the United States and is currently ranked #3 nationally by the U.S. News and World Report. It is comprised of physicians from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUMC), UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica (SM), and the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VA GLAHS).
